Hello yall...anyone know where I can find adapters to fit a set of w2 headers to a stock port and bolt pattern head?

You could buy the flanges and cut the W2 flanges off,
shape the tubes and weld on the new flanges

Mr.P I need the additional space an adapter would provide, because the one tube shrouds plug access on #7. Having the header away from the head would help.

Spdexhaust sells flanges for those heads...don't know if that helps. Here is the link Link

Also, out of curiosity is the W2 header worse than this on shrouding the plugs? This is a set of 1 7/8" TTI's for an a-body.>

Yes, these #3 on the TTi W2 are just as bad as that. the rest can be dealt with by a little trimming of the flanges. Thanks Jim for the schoenfeld link, I hope to find something a little thicker to add room for the plugs and make a smoother port transition at the same time.

That is not the pattern on my heads they have listed, I *think* that is for a BA MC.

Good luck, I may just end up making a set of headers instead of cutting / pounding the TTI's. Still in the decision stage here.

Thanks My TTI's arent pounded but the finish needs redone so I am free to alter things a bit.

SPD will make any flange you want. Send them a tracing.

Headers on these things suck.

Yes - headers suck. SPD has the B1 BA flanges, 1018 in stock. Stainless is special order.

Make a pattern using a gasket and find a local guy with a water-jet or laser table; did that on mine in the '90s.
I always cut the flange material off between the cylinders: improves access, loses a little weight, looks much better, and prevents warping.

Let me know. I can make a set but sometimes you are farther ahead to find out if there is anything out there already made.

Tubular Automotive in Massachusetts makes adapters that fit their headers. These are individual plates that fit each port (3&5, 4&6 are one piece). Not sure I'd that's what you're looking for. They're around a 1/4" thick or so IIRC.

I used these........worked great.
You do have to port match them to the gaskets however.
Local machine shop charged me $40.00 to do both.
Flanges are .250 thick. Comes with tapered mounting bolts.

I tried a set of Brodix B1Ba heads on my 408 in my Demon, and Ill tell you what I butchered a set of TTI w2 headers, burned plug wires, had exhaust leaks, Screwed up a number of spark plugs, etc, etc. then I came to realize that I either had to pay for custom headers, build my own which I have never attempted, or had to switch heads. Well luck for me I found a guy to trade my Brodix stuff for a set of Indybrocks.

For the life of me I can not figure out why they used a w2 exhaust port with a standard exhaust flange. Blows my mind, Why not use a standard W2 port/flange.

Wouldnt that be easier??

I have a set of the Hedman 10220 flanges here that have been ported. I can't remember what heads they were for as I have had the Brodix B1-BA's and the small pattern W2's in the past. They come from Hedman with very small port openings that have to be port matched to the exhaust port if you want to go that route. Center bolt hole spacing is 4", outside bolt hole spacing is approx. 2.125" diagonally, .3125" thick.

3/8" 6061-T6. Made from scratch using a gasket for a pattern. The header flanges started as Hedmans. I welded the bolt holes shut and drilled up my own pattern. 12 bolts per header. Works great, no leaks. Next set I will probably split the sub-flange into 3 pieces and trim the excess out of the header flange

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
