Any 68-70 B vert is uncommon, finding a rust free one is almost impossible or very expensive
69.5 A12 Bee, first purchased in 1976, car 169 on registry
69 Coronet R/T 440/4 spd
69 Coronet 500 Conv H code 383 4bbl/auto
37 Plymouth PU

As Randy posted, Coronet convertibles are not common.
As with any car, when the top goes down the price goes up. What becomes expensive is the convertible specific trim parts as they are not reproduced and are hard to find in any shape. If you do decide to get one, buy the most complete car you can afford.
(It's interesting that there weren't that many Coronet convertibles made but three of them are now accounted for in this thread. We need Kevin and Ron to chime in too )

Nice car, it that T7 Bronze?
I think there were less 1970's made than the '68 or '69 models, but any are hard to find and getting expensive. I looked for almost 10-years before I purchased my '69 R/T 440 4-speed (only 99 4-speed R/Ts built in '69.) I actually wanted a 500 builder, and found a few, but could never get a deal done. On at least two of the cars I offered $10,000 for 500 models that din't run and needed to be restored.
At the time I was considering buying a Jensen Interceptor because they were still reasonably priced.

yup lots of $$$$ I think 70's would be the hardest to find but probably cheaper than a 69.

No, its T-5 Copper, car is a 383-4bbl-auto 500 vert, about as close to a non-existance Superbee vert as possible, I did eliminate the 500 side trim and added a bulge hood, car will get a white 500 stripe and keep all the 500 emblems

That's gonna be a beauty! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) I would've done the same with the hood and side trim. Love the wheels, too. Dave

Looks nice. Do you still have the 500 side trim? I have a T-7 Bronze '69 Coronet 500 Hardtop that I am working on and I will keep the 500 trim on it. Actually the side trim is in decent shape except for the drivers door where it looks like the trim was dinged pretty good like the door was opened up into a post.

in my opinion the 1970 coronets are just amazing looking, i have to find one for myself.
Wish I could get back the one I had in the 80's. Sold it around 88 or 89 the guy drove it very little and it sits in his back yard to this day. Need to go knock on his door ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1343795-scratchchin.gif)
