Very cool! I remember hearing something about this motor back when you and Dennis were working on it. I'll pick up the magazine

Nice job Brett ...i would never even look at PRH ( or a lot of magazines for that matter, they're all a bit " enthusiatic" for my likes...lol), so glad you mentioned it. Will take a peak.

Nice article, but a lot of pretty high end and specialty stuff. I guess it would have to be where (rpm) you are making peak torque and HP. Can you ball park the $? Just trying to get a handle on $ verses HP.

This engine was for the 2011 engine masters contest.

This is set up on a average score 3500 - 7500 rpm the best place to gain score in this is down at the bottom of the rpm range.

Look at the TQ this engine makes at 3500 rpm 520+ TQ

750 HP with 252 at .050 duration cam

As far as cost to duplicate I would guess $25000-$30000

But you would not need the $1000 rings and $2800 lifters and $1500 pistons

Great article Brett! It's the same conversation I had with Randy @ Mopar action about something different instead of the SoS articles.. Who cares that it's not a production engine, It's way cooler!

Very nice, Brett. Looking forward to our new venture, which I am sure will be in a mag or two, when all is said and done.

B1, just make sure you tell him you want the car to be half a second slower than you want it.
Met Brett at Mason Dixon when I was about 16, before he was famous. Could tell even then he was a really talented dude.

Hope to hear more on your project Chris...These small block builds intrigue me and I've seen you're not afraid to put together a nice car. It was nice meeting you at SCSN. (I was helping Al out with the skinny tire car.)

Now you can package these new water manifolds with your heads and intake. What do you think? 4X -08 inlets and a single -16 out. I will also make a 1 1/4 outlet to regular style radiator hoses. It also has a 1/8" NPT in the center for a temp sensor.
