My W5 has net lift figures of .698/.714 as measured at the retainer.

What make of cam?

I'm building a 450+ small block. Using my w2's and tunnel ram. 13.1 comp and wondering about what cam to use.

It's an older Crane 340 Super Stock roller cam. I'm using 1.6 Harland Sharp rockers on it.

Yea we are building a set of 1 7/8 headers and I got an 850 holley but might build a 950 instead because it's just an out right better carburetor. I have a set of 5.13 gears and I notice alot of people run a pretty low gear it's just I don't know how we would make the 1/4 with it. We have a 29.5x10.5 tire and lite car. I don't know if changing the converter size and stall would either help or hurt the rpm's through the traps in the 1/4. I really don't want to be screamin the motor at 8000 rpm every pass but yet I want it to run good lol.

Your engine just isn't going to accelerate well with that converter, I would estimate your engine makes peak torque around the 5000-5500 rpm. Your converter would be quite inefficient also, so you would probably see a reduction in your trap RPM.
As anyone will tell you, make one change at a time.

I'm not too sure you are going to be running a 10sec 1/4 shifting at 6600rpm with a stock stroke 340 and w2's. These things need to be wound up.

Better get inside Ma. Looks like a storm's comin'.
