The correct answer is that 383/440 non-convertible cars are not supposed to have them. The answer shouldn't be that there could always be an exception! Otherwise, there could be exceptions to everything due to worker error but bringing up possible exceptions is not a good answer to a question regarding whether or not they were original equipment.

Sorry I'm going with Scott on this, I know of a 69 Coronet R/T & a 69 Charger R/T that have them... I know of allot of cars without them but it did happen from time to time.. Oh, my 68 Coronet R/T has them too, but it's a vert so... "The Armies of our ancestors were lucky, in that they were not trailed by a second army of pencil pushers."

Read all the posts no one answering this post has a car gtx 440 or coronet rt 440 with them in it.
