Just like the title says.. We were there for the finish.. He lost in the semi finals in a tight race.. Guess it's becoming a habit being runner up.. New nick name "Mr Runner-up" It's fun watching Al run down all those Chevys with that crazy 1000' surge.. Just a Great Job and a nice year.. Glad we were there to see it unfold.. Awesome weekend weather for racing.. Mid 70's and no wind.. Now I don't need to make you new numbers.. "72" Chris..

Thanks gents, it is appreciated. It was not easy lots of ups and downs but guess it paid off in the end. Thanks for making the trip up Chris. Also thanks to Robbie and wife for the help as well as Billy for the needling Also thanks to Jay and Curtis for being out there to help out, and with the words of encouragement. I really need to thank my wife and son whom without the help this would never happen. Also to Pettis Performance for the HP. We kept our eye on prize all year and we looking bog picture from the beginning. This was my first attempt at running for the title and missed it by a couple of rounds. We will see what next year brings although I told everyone if I finished 1 or 2 I would likely be back at it again next year. I guess the name Mr Runner UP fits. 9 runner ups in S/ST including two this year, runner up in the points chase in Hot Street in the PSCA, now runner up in NHRA S/ST. I will gladly carry the title

Good job
#2 is way ahead of many good racers , no need to hang your head

It's all good Al.. Had a tough day Saturday, may have over did it.. I must say, that if any member gets a chance to watch Al's car in S/ST, you will get a treat.. That thing really makes a move on the big end.. We watched a couple rounds from the finish line.. And Billy D saw it first hand.. I think you have video.. You said that if you were #2 you would race next year.. Unless you let Tom steal your ride.. Chris..
