may cost more but when u see the look on people's faces when ya open the hood PRICLESS !!!!!!

It's the "WOW" factor. We find that when building any big race engine Hemi or wedge the cost is comparable or with in reason.Usually the Hemi is only about $1000 more.

Build a smallblock Hemi! Similar power to a RB Hemi but gets the weight breaks of a smallblock!

You care to share a ball-park number for what you have in that engine?

There is a little over 25K in the billet P5 Heads and Billet intake. The short block with the Aluminum R4 block, Procharger, and Chris Alston geardrive will run close to the 25K figure as well. Definitely more than I was wanting to spend but was limited on choices from Mopar. I believe the billet P5 heads are as good as any head out there. Also you have to look at the rules for the class you are building for. These heads were allowed with the F1X but were deemed illegal last month. Now I have to run the F1R with these heads. It will still make a ton of power with the reworked (by Procharger) F1R blower. I expect to see around 1600 hp with the F1R and 2000 hp with my F1X. Hope to hit the dyno around Christmas time so we will know if it was a wise decision!

I was considering building a Street Hemi for my Road Runner. I went on to Summit racing a priced out some parts

MP block
Eagle Crank
Scat Rods
Diamond pistons
Aluminum Heads
ARP Bolts
Rocker arms
Roller Cam and Lifters

Now I haven't covered everything still would need intake, Carb oil pump and pan bearings etc...

I came up with a right around 13k in parts which is pretty decent. You can build them cheaper if you wait for the right deals it really a question of what do you want it to do.

you would be surprised how quickly the rest of "everything" adds up. especially if you want something somewhat stock looking. inline manifold, ~$500 for a stage V, not sure about the chrysler. 2 edelbrock carbs, (i imagine holley's are close in price), $600 or more. another $100+ for linkage, gaskets, etc... now you have just added another $1.3k. and wait until you get into air cleaner land! that gets fun!

little stuff adds up quickly on these, especially if you want it stock appearing.

So a year and a half after finishing my hemi project, ran out of money to finish my car so now it sits.....lots of cash out there for something that is just sitting.
