I have a big 440 under the hood and little itsy bitsy manual drum brakes....bad idea. Has anyone had experience with putting a kit and from who would you recommend for this. Street driven but do need to stop....allot better. I do have 15" wheels so I think I have room for it ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sawzall-smiley.gif) . Thank you Andy

A '62 Dart is a B-body isn't it? If so, then it should be easy to bolt the factory 11.75 inch setup on there. That works better than the kits when using a 15 inch wheel.
I thought it was a B body that year also

'62 Dart is a B-Body.
Except the "b body" nomeclature was not introduced until 1963.

A freak? It is IMO for all intents and purposes, a named after the fact, one year only, Dart "B body", and always has had this nebulous pedigree, just to be clear. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Speedway motors has a nice kit that includes everything from the spindles to the splash shields.
Personally, I wanted to save weight so I went with the slightly more expensive Wilwood kit that bolts to the existing drum spindles. Find someone that can safety wire and you're all set!
