This was my 1st dragster nothing fancy but I won a lot of Bracket Races with it. The engine was a 451(.060 440)ported & polished 915 heads Weiand tunnel ram 2 4779 Holley carbs Comp cams 286-750 roller camshaft,Speed Pro(TRW)12-1 pistons it only run high 5:20's & low 5:30's,but you only changed the plugs once a year and checked the valve lash about every 45-50 runs when you changed the oil. I would race Friday nights at the Phenix City track,Saturday night at the old MMP track and back at Phenix City on Sunday afternoon.When I sold it I had run the engine 3 years & only changed the valve springs once at the start of the 3rd year.
