These are 17x9 on my bee, all around, with 255 50's on the rear and 245 45's on the front with '0' off set or 5 inch backside spacing. These wheels weigh 21 lbs each.Had these since 08.

Had a set of those on my '69 Charger for a while. I don't recall the exact weight, but with tires, they were well over 50 lbs. Not light for sure, but not crazy heavy either.

One thing I didn't like about them was the shallow face/dish. Even though they had the proper offset, they look like a late model positive offset wheel... a bit out of place on a '69 IMHO. The YO Rallyes and Magnums don't appear to have this issue.

With the aftermarket brakes on your Bee, I think they look really good. The open spoke design works.

I like them

And the new cast Magnum 500s too. I'd love to see either one on a 71-74 B body... but I keep reading that tire size is tricky.

Don't want to be stuck running O-rings... I have some huge wheel wells to fill.

235/55R17 or 255/50R17 fit great...they're 27" tall (same height as a 255/60R15). 235/55 is base size tires on a mustang, so there's a ton of options

Definitely not as light as weld wheels, but you are dealing with 30+ lbs rear tires and 26 or so for front ,so 50 + lbs sounds about right.295 50 15's on 15x10 weld rod lights was 45 lbs.5 or 6 lbs wont make that much difference ,especially if you run light weight brakes or some other weight saver. Not many cheap light weight 17" and especially 18" wheels to fit old cars out there.

I'm hoping with the 9' wide 0 offset rims will fit my front fenders well, may have to trim the inner fender as i will be running drop spindles...I like the look of the 275/40

Here is that size combination on my former 71 GTX. Wish I still had these wheels. Anyway, squint and you can imaging it with Rallyes.

edit: I'm thinking the fronts were actually 50's

FWIW these 17" Telstars were about 18 lbs each, if memory serves. The 15's on my Road Runner are 16 lbs.

Car looked much better in photos than real life. Wheels were 8's all around.

what is the offset on those? is there room to go an inch or 2 wider on the fronts?
Ill be putting the rallye's in a 71 roadrunner, I'm hoping the 17x9 0 offset fits...

The Telstars actually had about 0.5" of negative offset (4" back space). Nine inch wheels with zero offset will fit, although you'll be getting close to the ball joint. Just don't get crazy with the tire size. Nine inches is bit wide for 235s though.

When I ran the "Hot Wheels" like the Bee above on my '69 Charger, I had 17x8's and 17x9's, zero offset and 255-50, 275-50 tires. No clearance issues. In fact, they actually screwed up the mounting and shipped a 255 mounted on a 9" wheel. Just for giggles I test fitted it and found no clearance problem. That car tracked like crap with the 255s on front though. I'd never go that wide again.

Hypothetically, if I had about $1400 burning a hole in my pocket and decided to spend it on a set of 17" wheels and tires for my '72 Road Runner, I'd either run eights all around, or stagger with nines in back. Tires would be 235 and 255 combo.

My Bee tracks very well with the 9's in front and 245 45 tire ,every thing fits.I do have almost 4 deg of castor tho.275 40 all around would be interesting to try.Dan at Hotchkis might chime in on that one.

Thanks for the input! I'll be running 9's all around - I might run a hubcentric spacer if I find them a little to close to the balljoint.
I'm probably gonna run the 245/45 combo

I also wonder about the 275/40 all around - I try to find the happy medium to run all 4's so I can rotate my tires. I believe Dan runs 18" tires but would be curious as to what he has to say...

So, dangina, how did they fit?
Any clearance issues with suspension, brakes, or fenders?
Any pictures?

They do look good, be cool to see them on your car!

*Tell your tire guy those yellow dots on the tire sidewall are supposed to align with the valve stems

Not my car, but should look the same once my rally wheels are on. Other than the fact mine is plum crazy!
