Being mid way through a Twin Turbo (4788's) fuel injected Hemi build, I can tell you this much . . . .
1) Work out your budget 2) Double the above 3) Add another 10% to the above, then you will be in the right ball park . . . .
Sure, I have heard of cheaper, more powerfull Mopar combos, but also hear a lot that crap in the pub. I could of possibly gone with cheaper parts, but then it gets into a vicous cycle
I am running a KB Block

Yes , they are moved away from the cylinder bores , with the 4.5 bore the o-ring gets real close to the stock dowl .
so is the kb block just thicker in this area? I was told my indy block was good for 2000+ hp
i wouldn't ever attempt 2000+ horsepower on a Indy block.
So what is the safe power level for an aluminum indy block?

My combo makes 2300 HP on 25 psi of boost . I think I got it figured out now . Last three passes were 6.832 , 6.834 , 6.780 and the car weighed 2950 at 209 to 212 for the MPH . The boost was ramped it at 2.3 seconds and this weekend I will try to have it all in at 1.4 this should give me better ET . It was doing a 4.44 to 4.46 and 168MPH in the 1/8 . Bringing boost in earlier will not make it so soggy in the front half .
You will not make this power with a Indy block , I already tried ..
GOGREEN, would you share your motor build with us?
8.582, 160.18 mph best, 2905 lbs 549, indy 572-13, alky
