I did not have to pull the torsion bars with the old cast crank 906 headed 440 or the new engine that is in the car now. Mopar65

I didn't have to pull my torsion bars either, I have talk to a lot of racers that used the Pro Parts and never heard any of them say the needed to pull the torsion bars. Mine are the originals ones that Bill Bagshaw sold as Pro Parts, not the early ones that CPPA sold or the new ones that Bob Mazolini is having TTI make and sells now

I've never pulled my T-bars either. My question was at those who use the underchassis TTI headers as the TTI website says you have to pull the T-bars to install their headers, not the Pro Parts/Mazzolini style.

Well i put my tti in the same time i put my engine in. I have never tried to install TTI headers in a car with a engine in it allready. So i can not say yes or no on pulling the T-bars. mopar65

This is the combo I have. Luckily, I have a good friend with a talent for building headers (HardcoreB). Mine have slip collectors and all of the tubes can be installed in less than a half hour.

I bought the Hedman race headers for my car with the 440-1 heads, they are fenderwells. Which I like a lot better than most chassis headers I race the car and I'm getting old so ease of maintenance is very important, especailly between rounds when needed

I put my TTI's in with the motor. BUT,,to get my starter off, the header has to be removed,,,,in order to remove the header, the torsion bar has to be removed.(along with the steering column, drag link, pitman arm, etc) SO,,going in reverse theory,,I would say YES the torsion bar would have to come out to install them with the engine in the car

I never tryed it with the T-bar in the car... I just went ahead and took them off and quess what? They were in, in 10min. That's with everything out like he said. Steering link, T-bars, Engine up with side to side swing for clearance... The starter has a weired way of going in but it go's...

Hey Mike we have the CPPA chassis headers on my sons 400 Dart. TTI took over the CPPA headers so the TTI is the same. Plugs are no problem as long as the eng is cold when you change them. They actually fit pretty good. Ron

i have a 68 b'cuda with a 440- and VICTOR HEADS
I can only tell you what did not fit my car.

I am running a andy f- front motor plate, but i mounted it before i took off my stock motor mounts, so i believe i am in stock location.

CPPA's did not fit- i would have had to make my steering column go right through the middle of my #7 exhaust pipe. they laid all over the inner fender, touching the whole way.

Proparts- did not fit, hit just about everything and then would not make it under the chassis about 1/8" to high to clear the bottom of the car.

headman- fendewell headers do not fit. they sit on the shock tower on the passenger side, and i mean SIT looking to "modify" a 1/4" deep on the #2 cylinder to allow them to work.

what worked on my car- the set i am building!!!!

lol...im getting older too,i know what you mean..been thinking of them too.TTI's show issues w/ stock k-frame,and 440-1's raised port.mad dog headers are about 10 miles away,so i might talk to them.how big of a tire can you run on the front w/ the headmans?....thsnks to all for the help.mike

I'm runnig a set of 27 inch tall Phoenix on my Duster, I do have the front ride hieght up above the stock level a tiny bit due to driving on the street. Those tires rub on my Hedmans made for the -1 heads on my 400 stroker motor with Indy SR heads raised up a tiny bit to clear the inner fender panels

Ari, here are a couple pics. Don't mind the crappy engine compartment. The car has stock suspension/steering. It is tight and the rear tubes on both sides go through the wheelwell.
