Sorry to hijack this thread, I'm looking at doing a 383 build. Good info here.

The DP should work fine with his 3000 stall and 3.91 gears. 1800 stall and 3.23 gears, no. A 650cfm would be fine also for a 383 motor. Which 3310 do you have? If its a -1 or -2 I'd probably run that.

Thats the only reason i was gonna run the dp since high stall and steep gears but i will try the 3310 but have to look to see which one it is and will let you know!But was planning on 93 octane!I can always use felpro .040 headgaskets if needed!

Ok thanks and the truck pan is 6 quart!But figured i would post some pics but I am not gonna get to run aluminum intake yet so will be using the factory 2806301 intake with light mods!Gonna get motor running first then buy either performer rpm or torker intake!
