Cam break in tomorrow, change the oil, put a different throttle cable on it, put the hood on, fix the water pump and fan wiring. Need a #2 wire from the Fire Core guy. Seems he forgot one. But had it running and got the timing semi close....And that is a new Pro Systems carb.

That carb looks tiny on that motor. How many CFM is it?

Well, we broke the cam in on Thursday, took the car to the local 1/8th mile on Friday, and due to rain where the 1/4 track was we had no choice...All in all, no real issues other than it ate an alternator belt.... And the ProSyetems carb looks small, but its a 4150 based with all Dominator parts. So it has the 50cc pumps, the Dominator fuel blocks, and is jetted the same as one..I went with what he recommended instead of what I wanted...for now. 7.0 at 97mph on street tires pump gas, and street gears leaving real easy and shifting at 6300..Was still spinning thru low though, and I couldn't even get it into 3rd in the 1/8th with street gears, Dr. Diff is fixing me up this week...And we are going back this Friday..Engine still feels tight, but the idle came around and the plugs were looking real good, and on the last pass the 60ft got a lot better when we made a shock adjustment.

Lookin' good Randy, it'll drop a bunch after you get everything dialed in. The manifold looks alot better on your motor. Got rid of the chassis shake on mine, now I need a convertor that stalls @4800 for mine. Also have to still get the chassis dialed in. I think high 9's are a possibility. Dave
I might have modified your intake slightly....Ported it further, removed all the logo, had it almost ready to polish and ran out of time and thru some paint on it. Nother week, and it would have been shiney...
And I would think if your drive shaft and the rest are up to holding that monster, 9's are a given, but I would bet you will still find a few things that aren't. Wish mine would go 9.90's, maybe down the road I will move into a 572 or somthing. For now, the goal is 10.50's depending on the final weight. The 4.56's should net me 10.80's or so. THe last pass in the 1/8th it was on a real good run, probably a 6.90 somthing, but somehow I went from 1st-3rd and lost some ET...

Hopefully new gear puts us in the 6.8's in the 1/8th and we need to dial in the timming and probably the squirter shot. More of the timming though. I should have had the damper rebuilt before we ran it. There is a little concern on whether its accurate or not.

Yeah, but it sure is shiney....And it runs really well so far. Car is in getting the rear changed to 4.56's, so hopefully we hit my ET goal

To make a long story short with all our discussions with Indy and World, there is a bunch of confusion putting Indy heads on a World Block on our end and some things we did not know.
For now, we stayed with the push rods we had and kept the restrictors in the block as we did not want to pull it all apart again. It was already in the car.
The way the system is supposed to work, is there should be no restrictors in the block, as Indy has convienently relocated them into the heads. The oil feed holes in the heads are tapped to accept restrictors while bolted to the block, a very nice feature we were un-aware of.
Luckily, the restrictor size we used worked with our oil pump once the system was fully primed, and we finally got oil up top. We primed it with a drill motor. It took longer than expected to get the oil out the intakes, but all is good right now.
So anyone running a World block and Indy Hemi heads, should take note of that feature.
