Keep your calander open for (4) of the biggest baddest Mopar Events in 2013!!!!!! MCG is going to cover the points series and the information will be available to EVERYONE ALL OF THE TIME, both online at their site and on www.fastmopar.com We will have FULL COLOR COVERAGE in MCG Magazine as well with stories and features about the drivers and their cars!! Year End Banquet will be at my winter Swap Meet in Indy the first Saturday in March, with a fun filled atmosphere for everyone!!!!! Say I have a runnerup, a semifinal, and a 2nd round loss in the first 3 events. I am in contention for the title with a good finish at Norwalk. Would I spend another $600-800 to tow up to Norwalk to win a ring or a jacket? The answer is NO! This is why I quit racing NHRA after 10 years. The entry fees and travel expenses had grown considerably, while the payout, contingencies, and points fund were depleted. I know it takes sponsors to make it happen in today's economy and that is a lot of work for the promoter, but that's my honest answer on what it would take for me to sign up for points.

I'm with Charley on that, hopefully next year will work out better for me from a vacation time perspective, as this year has been terrible with only 3 days to use,, it appears that travel time for me would increase a little so any increase in incentive would motivate me just that much more to jump behind the wheel and Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

The ring is cool but how much can you really use/wear it ?. I like the poster The best real neat to have to hang in the trailer. But the money was not even close. was a real let down. $2500.00 would be cool . I would still be going their races if we got that.

In my previous example, if I were to spend the $$$ to go to Norwalk and I lost in the quarters, it would still be worthwhile if I went to your banquet and gor a decent check for 3rd place in points.

We have ran the Mo-Power events for 3 years but after this year I doubt I will run anymore. The car count at kilkare was terrible and the payouts have been bad to. I ran Jeff Johnsons race at tri-state this past weekend and even though the car count sucked he still made full payout. It made it nice knowing that you were going to get what was advertised.

On a different forum Josh is saying it will most likely be be a 4 track series next year. Possibly two point races per weekend, and use the best 7 out of 8 for points ( great idea). Also tri-State was a blast,even with the low car count..... Up in Flames Racing

I'm of the opinion, the more points opportunities, the more even the playing field. We will more than likely continue with our guaranteed payouts, but we may make some changes to accommodate the 2 races per weekend to make sure it's a good value both in payout and in entry. It's really about creating a complete experience for everyone..... I have a bigger announcement coming pretty soon so stay tuned!!!!

Oh yes,,congrats on taking over what has been a great series for a number of years, even with it's problems it has always been a hi-lite of my summer and I will be looking forward to racing your series next year.
