everything inside the quarter was stripped, treated, and is ready for black epoxy primer.

original door jam had rust under the lip.

Trimmed the nasty part and made a template.

new piece tacked in.

all welded.

all ground down like it wasn't even fixed.

Notice the door jam pieces that I made. Very rarely does a car need just quarters. If i had left the work as it was done by the previous owner i would have maybe given it 6 months until either the door jam started to rust or it broke loose due to the weak metal from rust. thank god i decided to do full quarters.

everything inside the quarter was stripped, surface rust was treated and it has 3 coats of epoxy primer (DP90LF) in an area where no one will ever see. But, it will never rust in there again.

did a ruff fit of the quarter panel to make sure everything will be ok. pre fit the side marker light as well. so far so good.

next time the quarter goes on it will be on for good. it will now be removed and the prep to weld it on will happen.

heres the center of the air grabber air box all restored. it took me a while to match the color but i am happy with the result. next the sides will get epoxy sealed and color coded to match.
