Big deal! I rather see the real reactions of people (which make us all human) then some phony acting like nothing ever bothers them.

Ya know AJ is a member here, and I sure think he reads some of the coments on here and wonders why he is.

Great to see true emotions out of a true racer. Way to go AJ, and Im sure your really proud to see Vincent doing so well with your pony under the hood.

Great job and im sure your gonna be right back up there at the next race. Its a mopar race and Id love to see ya win there AGAIN!!

I didn't see it but would guess that AJ has a lot of pent up frustration this season. It seems they just keep inventing new ways to lose. I know if I were in his shoes I'd be banging my head on the wall screaming WHY CAN'T WE GET THIS RIGHT!

Things are looking up for the Mopar P/S crowd, Roy is making good power, Vincent seems to be getting a handle on his driving and Jeggie is qualifying. When Jeggies team get it figured out he will get some wins, he wins in everything he drives and the Mopar will be no different.

Good luck to all the Mopar teams .

I agree with all of this, except for the Nobile part. He seems to be getting a handle on his driving? I think he has had a handle ever since his first race out. He has been consistently good from the start, better than anyone else out there right now. But, at least we have good running Mopars to root for

AJ is in third place in the points standings, only 61 points out. In addition, his engine customer is in 5th place. Calling that underachievement is ignorant. How about WJ or Larry Morgan, neither is in the top 10 nor can they barely qualify, and they can both build first-class engines.

This could be an interesting race with Connelly running a 2nd Cagnazzi car. That will be 7 contenders with Mike Edwards that may start beating up on each other.

Vincent had a stretch where he had several red lights, that is what I was refering to. Maybe it was the clutch set up, I don't know. Whatever it was they seem to have a handle on it now.

I have noticed in the last few races Vincent's lights have been consistently in the .03X-.04X range when they used to be .00X -.01X. I would guess clutch too.

Not sure if I would say clutch right off the bat on Vince. I would think they worked on not staging as deep or maybe slowed the launch down. His 60' times would tell the story on if it was clutch or shallow staging.

As for AJ, I would be smoked off too. I would have tossed the water bottle too. Not as far but.... Vince was just there and AJ was chirping.

It is nice to see someone with some sand and passion unlike the vanilla and or cry baby crap we see all the time.

Nothing wrong ith someone being passionate about thier profession. Particularly when it was an error that shoudl have never happened. These guys are professionals remember and a mistake was made that likely cost the man a race.

Oh a side note I actually watched the race for a change. What the heck was up with the track, looked liked it was causing a lot of teams problems. I ahve not seen that many Pro Stock teams have issues in a long time.

Al,

Track temps were in the 140's and as high as 150+ at one point. The rubber was pulling off and there were bald spots.

I know Norwalk is a great track, walked out of my shoes there... It was just a test session, granted big dollar, big speed, low ET cars but none the less.

True but Vegas can be the 7th plane of hell too...

Ohio isn't used to that.... 90 and the midwesterns start to melt.

I think the humidity was in the upper 80's too. makes for a not so fun day

Al, my uneducated guess would be that the track operators in your area will prep for the adverse conditions you guys put up with out there, around here it is unusual to have those kind of track temps and the people that prep are not used to these kind of conditions on a every weekend basis, be it the tracks people or NHRA's, I have seen many tracks hold well in the beginning but they fall apart toward the end as rubber builds up and then starts to roll up and come off because of extreme heat. jmo

I would rather see a little emotion let out from a big win or even a tough loss than to listen to Spencer Massey go on at the top end. That guy makes my skin crawl. Keep up the GREAT work A.J. and good-luck for the rest of the season.

I was racing at a P.S.C.A. race at the old Fontana track behind the stands and when the track was aproaching 130+ degrees, they shut it down.

Comparing midwest to western heat is like trying to compare apples to oranges. Humidity and heat is a double wammy..

I can feel for AJ. You know he has carried the Mopar banner in Pro Stock for us Mopar people for a good number of years and I think he deserves to win it all. So I can understand when it seems like every dumb thing that can happen does to keep you from winning it all. I have the same kind of luck. This is a great time for the Mopars in Pro Stock with as many as 5 Mopars that can get in the show and I am very happy about that. Myself I just love when a Mopar wins but I have a soft spot for AJ and his team because of all the hard work they have put in. But I like all the Mopar teams. It was also good to see V Gaines doing good and Jeg getting in. And V Nobile is one heck of a driver who is winning with AJ's dads powerplants which is also good to see. Good luck to AJ and all the Mopar teams. Ron
