I had the opportunity to work the racers ticket gate and enjoyed greeting and assist in registering the drivers. I do have to say Mopar racers are the BEST!!! It was a long day at the gate, and I would like to thank those racers who brought us something to eat. It was so much appreciated! So, I guess I would have to say that I enjoyed everything.
Thank you for making MMW St. Louis Grrrreat!

I was very happy when the racing was over and I could actually leave race control. The evening weather was absolutely perfect and I had a GREAT time moving from party to party in the pits.

If I had accepted every beer, brat, porksteak, beer, hamburger, hot dog, beer, rib, and beer I was offered, I would be in the hospital for sure!

I'm going to look into having an RV for the weekend in the future so I can stay at the track instead of a hotel. The pit area is THE place to be Friday and Saturday night.

NSS guys.......... WOW

Would have loved to have made it. Either the coil or MSD box crapped out while loading the car. And your correct, the pit's are where you want to stay. Any after hour staging lane golf cart races this year?

The racing was great, the track hooked, the exhibition cars made great passes......even the race director did a good job...

the guys from the nss pits that came over and help me push my car out of the staging lanes when it wouldn't start.seems in all my hurry to swap blown head gasket from the previos weekend, and test driving it 5 miles then put it on the trailer and off to st louis,i failed to add gas.hell they even hauled me to the fuel station in their race car,i couldn't thank them enough.

The whole event was a blast. Making it to the semis in Top Sportsman and bringing a little $$$$ home did hurt either! Hope to have a little more power for Indy.

I'm not usually a fan of the wheelie, jet cars etc stuff but the two wheel standing Cudas were awsome. Watching Gup's car leave the line. The first time I saw it, I thought he was taking it easy until I saw the time!!! That thing leaves the line soooo smooth. And of course Max Maniac and NSSGUY. Cudos to race control, very little down time,

I wasn't there with my own car, but I was helping my friend
Clint in the 101/2" class. I drove up from Florida ,and
I caught the drag racing fever once again...
Now I'm on the road to getting my car going once again...

I really loved the beautifully painted, fantastically engineered, and finely tuned, (old school) Chevy Nova exhibition car

I don't know how that ride made it past tech @ Gateway.

That's a really good question.
It had grade 2 fasteners holding the front axle in.
I guess grade 5 were too expensive.

What did I enjoy most about MMW St.Louis?
Racing, watching racing and hanging out with friends that were racing.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

You and Kayse must have made 20+ passes on Thursday night. Everytime I turned around, you 2 were going up the staging lanes. I'm glad to see more of my friends on the drag strip side of the event. Even Wayne was out there with his '71 GTX making a few passes.

I did not even have a chance to check out the swap meet and was in the show area for maybe 45 minutes tops. Kinda sad considering I was on the property all 4 days, but with running 2 different classes, sorting out the new combo on the '64, and helping friends, it was hard to get away. That's OK though...we all had a blast and I'm glad Gateway is open again.
