This is funny, those so called leaf links is exactly what i plan to build for my car.
I even have made drawings for it. Spooky!

My bet would be that something is not square.
You should check again if EVERYTHING is square and true.
You could also try to move weight around with the torsoon bars or ballast.

Joel, I am pretty sure everything is still square, it won't hurt to check next time it is up on the hoist though. The car drives straight down the track, so it should be pretty close. The diff is still located by the spring pin the way I have done it.

I documented a fair amount of the leaf link set up I have done under the car if you wanted to check it out. Here is the thread....

I am pleased with the first outing, it stuck to the ground great all things considered. I know there is more in this set up yet!

I found another picture of the mounting of my a.r.b. The shock mounts & the a.r.b. are both incorporated into this same horizontal bar. My speaker tray bars also run down from the main hoop to the top of this same bar.

You can build them pretty easily, but sometimes its easier just to buy a kit if you dont have the stuff readily available. As mentioned, the natural movement of the rear axle is for the driver side to push the tire into the ground, while the passenger side wants to come up off the track surface. This is the point behind an ARB...as one trys to drop, it is linked to the opposite, creating equal tire loading(hopefully).
I would say leaf spring cars would always benefit from them...who really knows what goes on under hard loads...be interesting to put a camera on the leaf spring for one pass.
