Alright Peter show us that hydroboost too! Haha looks close to your #1 tube in the pic. I need to get some pics of mine with as much detail as possible. Just got back from the SORC 1/2 and 1 mile shootouts today, had fun, saw some outstanding equipment and finally had a leak free 100 mile trip so im happy.

Mopar to the bone!!!

Finally started driving the Dart with the new box and some other new mods. Think again if you think the oe box is the best thing since sliced bread. This box is a great upgrade. Cantata tic on center feel. Much faster ratio off center. Feel is a little heavier than my stage 2 was.

Just for the record, the other mods were?

Bigger front bar - 1.25" hollow. Custom bilsteins up front with solid lower bushings, and different rear springs. Changing tires soon and then I'm ready for a track event.

Is that a typo or autocorrect? Please explain that again.

What do you think of the precision feel of this setup as compared to before? On a 1-10 scale rate what it was like before. Now, on a 1-10 scale rate what it is after.

Yup auto correct...let's just say it sucked before and now it's real good.

I get that general impression. But you specifically said something about the on center feel? Could you repeat that without autocorrect.

What about the 1-10 rating of your ?rebuilt firm feel? box compared to this Saginaw.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm grilling you. But this is a $800 rebuilt steering box. I've got other upgrades to do too.

Steve, I've had FF stages 2 and 3, and Steer and Gear boxes. Even though they had higher effort due to their mods, they always felt like what they were, old boxes. The on center feel was always terrible and the ratio was always too slow. The Delphi box on paper is only marginally faster ratio, but off center it feels much faster. Tracking feels infinetely better too. The effort off center is a tad heavier than the stage two that was in there. I can honestly say after driving some today, my package is light years better than its ever been. I'm putting on a set of NT05s and I'm done with suspension for a while.

Would it be a smart move to install the FirmFeel Sector support aswell here, to prevent wear on the box? (Also given the fast than stock ratio which might put more strain on the lower bearing and seal?)
Assuming the FF support would at all fit on this steeringbox ofcourse.

I have that on their too, so to answer the question it fits with this box. However, I'm sure the flex is a lot less when the car is in motion rather than testing this at rest.

Does one actually have to have a pressure-hose made up with a metric fitting on one side and a regular fitting on the other?

Do you mean ORB fittings? I would like one for my 71 e body. Will it bolt in or do I need other items to fit it in?

Yes, ORB fittings. You also need a coupler to do this installation. I have all in stock. PM if interested.

What would be a good pump setup to go with this box? Im leaning towards a good remote resevoir setup but dont want to spend $600 for one along with the box cost too. I will be starting from scratch since my car is manual steer and always has been.

Saginaw is fine. If you plan to road race or use a hydro boost unit, you could use a cooler and a remote reservoir.
