Okay, so it has a somewhat faster ratio built in to it. That does simplify center link interference for some engine/header set ups compared to fast ratio arms. Other than that, what does it provide that you can't achieve with a Firm Feel box? Does it weigh 10 pounds less, does it have less drag, or what. Not sure if I'm too thrilled about the vibration reducing coupling offering either. That typically rings of reduced road feel. In what way does this unit deliver twice the value of the other offerings that are out there?
Fitment. (we hope) If you have an Abody with powersteering and want to install a newGen Hemi, it might mean the difference between just swapping steeringboxes, instead of having to install a rack&pinion system, or, go back to the prehistoric times and go with manual steering...

Honestly feel and ratio are good enough for me. Ever drive a modern car even without a rack? A LOT nicer than what we are stuck with.
The A body hemi is not known yet, but would be really nice if it does. I would not build an A body with a hemi just for this reason.
When are they going into production? Last I spoke with Borgeson, the boxes were on the back burner while they were making other parts. Seeing as I'm putting a hemi in an A Body, I'm interested.
Anyway, I'm just finishing up my headers that fit around the factory power steering box with my 5.7 hemi.

I put one in my wife's C3 Corvette, it is a night and day difference! The car used to handle like a shopping cart with a bad wheel, now it steers like a modern car. Feel is great nice control on the highway, quick ratio in the corners. A well thought out bolt in deal. It's worth every penny.

We built a small sector police-type firm feel box for my son's Barracuda (all JY parts except for the seal kit) and it performed well.
I would be really interested to know more about this!!! Which parts (Numbers) did you use and where did you buy them?
Thanx

I don't know. It's been over ten years, but the basics were a factory cop car box from an 80s Dippy and a factory A-body box with small sector. We took the cop box worm gear and valving and put that in the early box with a seal kit for the early box. The specs and rebuild procedure ar ein the FSM.

looks like the fittings are metric, add in new hoses or new fittings to the cost.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Ratio is key. On center it's got to be infinitely better than our beloved 21:1 dinosaur.
Hmmm. Every Mopar PS box, late '50s thru the last B-vans, T/A-AAR option included, is 15.7:1. Look it up.

Rick, quit with the facts, would ya? The steering ratio of the factory power box is exactly why my son's Barracuda got power steering after the first autocross. It wasn't the difficulty in turning the car, but I could see his hands FLYING in the corners with the manual.
I still don't see $800 in value with the Delphi (ok around $1k by the time you get it in there).
