I have a slightly-more-than-weepy leak coming from my coolant bypass hose fitting on my intake. A blob of Water Weld held it for awhile, but apparently that stuff doesn't like heat and it started getting mushy again and letting it leak. I tried using some JB Stik instead, which almost seemed to work better, but that started seeping from around the edges too. What can I try to stop this leak? I don't want to take the fitting out, the last time I tried with an aluminum intake the threads got completely screwed up. I don't care what looks pretty, just something I can stick or glop on that will be waterfast and hold up to the heat.

Why not take the fitting out and put it back in with teflon tape or pipe thread sealant? It's not that big a job...
I agree. It isn't a hard thing to do to put some tape or pipe sealer on it. Quit trying ugly band-aides.

he doesn't want to because of the threads. have you tried heat tolerant silicone?

Any silicone on the outside will have a tendency to leak as it is on the outward side of the pressure push. Why is there always all kinds of time to do and re-due but never time to do it right.

pretty sure he knows he should take it apart and try getting back together correctly. he clearly said he didn't want to do that because of stripped threads before. as JohnRR said (never occured to me) run some Barrs through it, dry it really well and try some silicone around it. Yes i know about the pressure. it doesn't hurt to try before he gives up and pulls it all apart.
