Timing retard, permanent to relieve the 3200 rpm pinging. Car actually runs better up above 3000 rpm with now a 4 degree retard.

Keep an extra electric accusump valve on hand, they ALWAYS fail...

I have never had an accusump valve fail, but there is always a first time...

Done, ready to attack the track.

Spindle ducts, could be refined but will do the job

Hi Tom,

Regarding the front caliper cooling mounts, I'd sure be interested in purchasing something like those for my Challenger... or else, to make them on my own as you did. Your pictures are worth a 1000 words, but any extra wording, diagrams, info, etc, would be great.

I found the ducts on the net. I whittled them to fit around the spindle & ball joint into the proper position and then bent up some brackets that were then riveted to the duct. The spindle bolts are used as mounting pts as there is enough thread to attach the bracket and engage a nut.

Good Luck with the Black N Blue Charger at The Glen. You are prepared for the event.

Nice work on all the improvements you made on the car.

What kind of an event is this at The Glen you are running the Charger at? Is it an invitational only or an open track day?

driving school

While I have run in other driving schools that leave a lot to be desired, these folks know how to run a fast car driving school.

People get uninvited and get told to go home as well. Records are kept as well so there is no sneaking back years later.

Believe it or not there is a substantial amount of testosterone that exhibits itself at the track. Some of it is comical and some of it interesting, some of it is stupidity.

What's most interesting is the newcomers that see the old iron and then see it run...

Okay so tomorrow is the big day.

Good Luck!!!!

Looking forward to some pictures of the Black N Blue Charger being posted doing the high speed thing.

Question on the event do you get a garage space to work on the car during the event or did I just read that part wrong?

The brakes worked very well, no fading problems.
I went 115 mph in the large box the back straight as it is hp limited and not my car.

How much HP would you say the Black N Blue Charger is making?

How did the breathing system upgrade and accusump valve work out?

What tires did you run on the track?

Forgot to ask did any other Moparts members show up to watch or participate?

lots of curious folks came by our garage space after they saw the large beast run laps. I was out doing laps with an instructor and we got to see the car in motion.
