If it's a Hurst, look for a 4-digit number stamped in the Reverse (longest) lever.

Only ones with that style handle (three bolt flange) are three speed units. Possibly the third(?) arm is for the column interlock? Did e bodies use that? All the ones I have seen are A body. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) And not a Hurst.

Column interlock from shifter was 1970 only all cars (A/B/E...)
Sure looks like a 3 spd handle and ball. But I'm not very versed on manual trans stuff.

I have a 71 Challenger w a 3speed. The shifter looks exactly like mine, but for the extra arm. I'm guessing as posted that this is a '70 3sp shifter from an E body.
