I could have bought that very EXP for 12k rolling, didn't, it is a S/G car here in ohio now..

I am almost sure, mopar racer Bob Marshall bought this car from Glidden and raced it locally before selling it. All the while still racing his Dodge Material 65's.

Bob Beach had Glidden's EXP, he offered it to me rolling with the lenco for $6k. Should have bought it but I always thought it was a ugly car. Someone here in Ohio has it now, it has a BB ford with a glide now. Never seen it go down the track since I saw it being updated some in Grashel's shop. poppaj

wow , this is an old post , but a friend tipped me off to it . i just bought a '76 tube frame volare in the detroit area . it was built in michigan in 1976 with a body in white . the owner had a chrysler dealership , it was called "john colone chrysler" i believe . i recently got a call back from one of the guys who raced it later in '86 after they stopped racing it with the hemi . he put a 400 stroker with b1 heads in it . he says the car was raced as a B/gas car in the late 70's with a hemi and a clutchflite . it held some records also . the car ran with the name "special edition" . it is black now , not sure what the paint was like in the 70's i sure would like to see pics of this car from the 70's .he says it was all steel but the hood because the class required a steel body .

Just an old man in his late 50's now that grew up in the 60's and 70's around real muscle cars when they were still new and cutting edge . I was from Michigan but raised in SO. Calif. from a young age until I came back home to get away from the nightmare traffic and smog laws and way too expensive living cost . I am still addicted to mopars and mostly early station wagons , but still love most of the pre '73 mopars the most .

Sweet Volare! up

You may be able to talk to John Colone about it. Turns out the former Chrysler dealer has one heckuva life story.

If you want to talk to him, just go to Hell.

War Hero, as well. Toe-tagged, body-bagged and mistaken for dead in Vietnam in 1968.
