Cam is .875" (less lash and deflection)so i am opening them up as far as reasonable ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif)
Car weighs 2,850 and at 4,000 foot DA ran 8.80's, but there is more left in the combo...
If you want more than that N/A you need a better head IMO.

Arnie, Shift point? Trans? Have you ever looked at your combo, and thought, "Darn, I should have went with a better head", or are you happy??

Was shifting at 7,400 rpm as peak HP came at 7,200rpm.
i did not get many passes last year due to transmission problems (727) and broken valve springs. just put a set of Victory 2.25" Titanium valves and PSI 1224 Dual damperless springs on the -1's and will try a higher shift point this year...
Happy with the -1's as my chassis and my budget can't really handle anymore power...
Bang for the buck, I don't think it is worthwhile to upgrade to a better head for my program.
Cheers,
Arnie
