My 527 brcket motor made 845 HP at N/A at 7000 RPM with a set of CNC ported 440-1 by Jeff that flowed 370 at .600 to .800 with a single 1050 Dominator on a Indy 440-3 intake Twin turbos with a intercooler and EFI out to make a lot more than that

N/A my 557ci made 955hp (Methanol injection)w/ 345cc CNC'd -1's that flow 382 at .800 these are Jeff's from Modern's program.

Cam is .875" (less lash and deflection)so i am opening them up as far as reasonable

Car weighs 2,850 and at 4,000 foot DA ran 8.80's, but there is more left in the combo...

If you want more than that N/A you need a better head IMO.

Cheers,

Arnie

Arnie,
Shift point? Trans? Have you ever looked at your combo, and thought, "Darn, I should have went with a better head", or are you happy??

Was shifting at 7,400 rpm as peak HP came at 7,200rpm.

i did not get many passes last year due to transmission problems (727) and broken valve springs.

just put a set of Victory 2.25" Titanium valves and PSI 1224 Dual damperless springs on the -1's and will try a higher shift point this year...

Happy with the -1's as my chassis and my budget can't really handle anymore power...

Bang for the buck, I don't think it is worthwhile to upgrade to a better head for my program.

Cheers,

Arnie
