The knock offs I got from Summit/jegs/speedway all had damaged threads. They also have a different class of fit, the AN is a tighter tolerance. Also True AN fittings come from companies like aeroquip and stratoflex. Tim
Your right, most are cheap knock off fittings. True AN fittings cut into the inner liner along with the outer braid, I always heard them called cutter fittings. I'll take some pictures to show the difference tomorrow when I go to my race shop.

actually an industrial varient of the AN is the JIC that has the tightest tolerance, all AN or JIC fittings have a 37* sealing taper and are physically inerchangeable but the tolerance variation dis allow's the inerchange, so the knock off's are a true AN but with looser tolerance's altho I would not try and use a Russel,Earls, Jegs or any intended for automotive use on a Stainless steel Swedglok intended to be used on an aircraft jet engine. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif)

Yep it adds up quick.
I pity you fellas that have all the plumbing with dry sump systems.
That must cost a fortune.

My car is all Earls pro-lite 350 as well, with earls fittings -10 feed, -8 return. Not cheap. Super easy to work with though.

When I changed my car over to dry sump I bought the pump, tank and oil pan and I said to my-self the expensive stuff is over....then I started buying the fittings and hose. I spent as much on hoses and fittings as I did on the other stuff ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eeek.gif)

imho don't bother buying house brand or unknown quality parts here. i brought summits house brand and had to send everything back and order aeroquip
Yes ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif) I assembled some Summit AN fittings for a friend last week. What crap they were, hose clamps would be better.

another vote for them! I ordered about 200 dollars worth of push lok fittings from them. Great to deal with, and the stuff is a good quality brand for a great price too...Get in touch with Joel over there, and if your a yb member there is another discount too! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
