1974 Satellite sebring Plus Sundance Edition -
Phoenix says, yeah they on website but we do NOT make them

Stencils and Stripes says we don't have any in stock and are not going to make just one set. I ask, then why the $445!!! Stencils and stripes says they scanned NOS stickers.

Wonder if they would sell me the raster or vector file so I can have them made in black.

Does anyone have a line on a set of these stripes and smiling suns?

Perhaps the "listed" price of $445 was just projected for future stock, but demand for these is probably non-existant, perhaps an offer to pay a set-up fee, may entice them to produce a set for you

I am willing to pay. I told the guy that.

He said they needed to make a "run" and there was no need ot right now.

Usually set up fees are like an extras $75. I'd pay it.

Of course you would. But try to understand why a setup fee of $75 doesn't entice them. 98% of the folks on this board have never heard of a Satellite Sundance. Nobody's gonna jump on board and make a clone of one even if decals were available. How many sets do you think they'd ever sell?

They have the equipment to mfg stripes, so that's in your favor. Inquire with them again and find out how much sales $$ they require for making a new part# - and that's your setup fee.

Or visit a local decal/sign shop and be prepared to provide/do a bit of the setup work for them (providing photgraphs, scaling information, reviewing 1:1 images, etc). If the stripes need to be in long lengths that may be your Achilles with a local.

Either be prepared to purchase a s
"small runs" worth,....and sell them off yourself, or eat the costs involved to obtain a desired set....the other course mentioned can be done also thru prints, pictures, tracings, etc, etc,

All the decals on these customers cars were made that very way,...custom made one-off, to fit custom made one off cars, find a decal/sign shop, that is intere$ted in helping you,

Mike

Even custom reflective, magnetic "dealer" emblems can be made.....basically a fridge magnet ....just find a shop willing to work with you on a custom project

Can you find someone else who has the Sundance edition, perhaps ask them to measure out the placement of the design. Maybe pay them for their troubles....and instead of affixing a sticker to the paint...., get a guy who does custom painting...perhaps a guy who airbrushes or pinstripes has a guy on their speed dial for these occasions...paint it on the car under the clear coat. I used the 3M decal for the bumblebee stripe on my 70 Dart and not even 18 months later it was faded, discolored, bleeding through....I painted the BumbleBee stripe under the clearcoat the next time and AFAIK...its still on the car looking great after 8 years

A tracing along with detailed hi-def pics, as it's an elaborate stripe design, depending on the color also, as some sundance stripes where multi colored/fade out design.....to repro in paint, would probably costs more, way more!.....besides anyone really interested in doing a Sundance, would, IMO, be looking to do a stock type resto?

Sad part is, I looked a the Phoenix site and the stencils site, saw the stripes were "available" and sanded ours off.

We had stripes on the car. We took pics, but no size reference, just location.

Actually I am painting the car sublime, want the stripes black and I would like to have the effects in the sun and lettering be close to sublime. So I am probably painting and having stuff airbrushed

70Coronet500Vert - give me a shout. I have a bunch of pics and measurements from another customer that wanted these as well but then decided to go in a different direction. It will take me some time to design - probably about 3-4 hours. I charge $35/hr for design. The actual stripes will only be about $125 in matte black plus design (if you agree to let me sell them to other customers).

I do need some decent pics of the section over the top of the roof and then the fenders.
