Looks like the planets are getting lined up.Larsons car was in more disrepair the year he switched from a blower motor to the turbo thats in it now.Moran was tuning on the laptop on the test and tune Sunday before DW started Something about those KC guys(Jake)LOL waiting til the last minute. That being said it may make a day or it may make the week but I know where Id put my money.DJ pulling his dads old car out of the barn and transforming it into this and both of them going on DW together win or lose. How cool is that!

i am no expert.. but i am a dragweek pioneer..
i have been around from the begining and have seen all the builds to date, from all years. and its just my opinion but . this badass piece of art is just to far out to be ready for DW. Driving and testing should be started by now.. i hear the whole money gets it done arguement but, ive seen big money guys try and not succeed before. Phil cooper tried with his purpleII, Denny terz??? tried with a huffer motor, Year one winner Carl Scott tried with a vette. Running buy the dates is far from being ready for the ride...
just my opinion hopefully you can prove me wrong...

This is part of the reason why I'm not going this year...
still not together and I wouldnt have enough time
driving it on the street or the track..... plus I
didnt get my name in soon enough before it was full
BUT I will be there next year... also I'm laying out
more money on this build than I had planned for...
next year both me and my buddy will be there

You hit it right on target my friend. All the hype is cool but this is ultimately me and my dad's outing. I just chose one of the craziest events to do it on. It is always a good thing for a dad to see his son supersede him. Me being a new dad can only hope I provide the same means for my son as my dad did for me.

That is awesome. Good for you, I am excited for you and your dad! I would LOVE to participate in drag week one year. BTW... the work on that car (and the car itself) is just awesome. Great pics, keep them coming, love watching the progress!

Will be licensing on the 11th. Last of the fabrication is happening right now. Had to provide extra bracing for the blowers because the tried to come off the motor while on the dyno. I got a couple of updates that were a little while back.

Car is pretty much done as far as wiring goes...

How often do you see 2 1/2 inch primaries on B1's?

Into a 5 inch collector V-banded to a 5 inch oval transition

Had to get rid of the front bumper so the blowers could breath

Yes, this is what is about to happen

Is there going to be some kind of screen made to put in front of those blower openings?

Are there plans to shoot a coat of paint on the car before DW, or are you foregoing that for now?

Custom plexiglass cover will be over the blowers while driving on the street. The car will be complete and painted when it shows up...

Looking awesome DusterDJ! I'm looking forward to seeing that beast go down the track, and down the road. Drag week is in 1 month, you have your work cut out for you, good luck!

I'll be there, but not in a Mopar. I'll be driving Jay Brown's 69 Mach I in Big Block Naturally Aspirated.

DJ,

Looks awesome. What heads were on that engine again, and how many cubes? Also, I am amazed it looks like you only have one injector per cylinder.
