OK. now I have a better understanding of shifter cables and valve bodies. what do I need to know about the park cable?

Parking cable moves the parking paw there is a procedure on removal and installation. to remove you remove the allen plug on the housing (there will be some fluid here) undo the nut that is where the cable enters the housing and tap the shaft in to release the cable. Use a small screwdriver and lightly push up on locking spring and pull cable out. To install reverse procedure but make sure cable end locks into the shaft.

Like the shift cables, the Park cable varies in length and attachment configuration; the transmission end is always the same but the shifter end of the cable will vary with the shifter.

would a park cable from a barracuda or dart possibly work?
