I am getting ready to make up a battery tray for my Optima to mount it in the trunk of my '74 Duster. I want to see how other racers out there have done it. Post the pics of your battery in the trunk to pass around some ideas and advice.

I am going to build something like this one.

What gauge battery cable did you guys use? It looks like there is a pretty wide spread of wire sizes.

I put mounts for two batteries when I built the car but I only use one.

My brother fabbed an aluminum diamondplate batterybox together. No pic yet..Notice the temporary platic holdown.

Hers's mine, I made the tray and the bracket with the fuses, relay, disconnect switch, and vent for battery incorporated.
