The purists will cringe. Its an original B5 blue with B5 blue interior A66 340 car. Didn't have the original engine & trans when I bought it so I am building it my way. Been thinking about doing all of the interior in the original B5 blue color even with the alum Kirkey racing seats. I think it would contrast good with all of the black tubing every where or black interior with the cage bars painted B5 blue.

Looks Great!! Moly Tubing?

All Moly tubing. Very similar to how your old car was done.

Your A-Pillar & Dash bars look very familiar.

Yes, Thank you very much for the pictures you sent to me quite some time ago. They have been very helpful in making some important decisions.

one thing you may want to look into while still in fabrication stage is the 25.3 spec. the couple extra bars will allow you to cert. to 6.0 instead of the 7.50 with the 25.5. you may never use it but is nice to have if you ever do upgrade down the line. also one mistake i made is checking for clearance on the dash bar (same as yours) the stock cluster will not fit

Kind of thought about 25.3 but with my budget it will never go 6's. Going to be using aftermarker gauges. Stock ones are to dang hard to see at night. ecspecially, at high speeds. Would like to do the "All Motor" &/or stock suspension classes, but I have enough NOS to nuke a small town for my 440 build & for future use (2) 106MM turbos for the alum HEMI build. Won't even need the 7.50 cert at first but at least it will be all done right.

A pair of 106mm turbos on a Hemi will put you well past 7.50et's unless you never use more than 5psi I agree with prochargedhemi, take the time to go for the 25.3 cert.

Once I finally do get to the turbo build. I will probably just run of the one 106's & use the other one as a spare or a parts turbo if ever needed. I think it is too aero disadvantaged to ever go 6's easily. The front end is just a big scoop. Leaving it all steel. No solid front one piece lift off front end for me.

I do have a few of the floor bars/frame connectors. Still have a few more underneath to do. Been focusing on the rear suspension/narrowing of the Dana to fit in the mini tubs. It will fit 315's D.R. or a 29.5 x 10.5W with no problems. I'll post some more. Later in the week. I only have them saved to my work computer.

25.3 now, you wont want to go back and do it later. pretty sure 25.3 is good to 6.50 @ a max of 3600 lbs.

25.5 should be more than enough to cover me for now. It will probably be years if at all that I get into the 6's. By then the rules/specs will probably change anyway. Just want to get something back out onto the track now that the kids are all getting older.

What do that bar that connects to the crossmember to the inside frame rail connects to or do it just dead head into the frame? It looks good.............

It goes thru the trans cross member part of the frame, then turns & goes thru the other part of the front sub frame & then up on an angle to the inner rocker panels with plates welded to the inner rocker panels. I think I have pictures of that too. I'll look.

here is a pic of the frame connector looping over to the rocker bar tieing into the rocker & the "A" piller bar coming down into it.

Going to be filling the two open hole with sheet metal.
