I think you guys covered all of my questions but I attached a pic anyway. My wheel is attached. The pad is not smooth, it has a grain to it. The wheel is black and smooth. Thanks for all of the info. I had never seen a black wheel before. Mine is pretty nice so I think I will put it in the car. One more question, in a A93 Deputy, would the door panels have had the inserts with the woodgrain or no inserts at all?
My 71 Deputy had the wood gran inserts in the door.

All pads had grain it was the smooth outer rim that makes it an A93 wheel.
One more question, in a A93 Deputy, would the door panels have had the inserts with the woodgrain or no inserts at all?
In the early part of 70 the inserts were an option on all but the SE's. In the later part of production (starting ~Jan/Feb 70) the inserts became standard. I am not sure that this also includes the A93 optioned cars but I believe it does.
Among the other things the A93 cars had besides the non-movable rear side windows and smooth steering wheel were. 1. No Day night switch on the rear view mirror (it was smaller too.) 2. Small non sport style drivers side mirror. 3. No (or 1 single) pleats in the seat cushions. 4. 198ci /6 3 speed manual floor shift for the base motor. 5. Foot pump for the windshield washer. I think I got it all.

My 71 A93 did not have them...

This wheel came out of a 71 Challenger I think it looks quite nice in my truck
It may have been in a 71 Challenger when you found it but it came out of a 72-74 Challenger or Barracuda..
I had a 71 Challenger Deputy that was all original at the time, my dad bought it in 77 and it had that same steering wheel...so it could have come out of a 71.
Um No... The Deputy was the absolute base model stripper, it came with the grained plastic steering wheel referenced at the beginning of this thread... You think nothing got changed by 77... I'd changed plenty of stuff on my 70 Challenger by that point...
The car was all original from the original owner...the car CAME with that wheel.
I just took one out of a 70 Challenger. Have also seen them in A and B's so they got passed around like you know what. Do like how it looks in Shorty's truck. The 2-spoke wheel is not in the 70-71 parts book.
