rebel you have had better burnouts than that on your track, remember this guy & his mate big Victor????
http://youtu.be/-3CpmPn162o

about 20 minutes south of our track www.willowbankraceway.com.au is a small country town called Kalbar with its claim to fame being a purpose built burnout pad, regular compititions are held there, its a mad day out

and an ugly car too... I mean what was that all about anyway? Looked liked a meat head doing something the track guys didn't want him to do. I'm guessing it was a burn-out contest because of the skinny tires and all that water and all the rubber on the track.

All the burn out comps I've seen have been part of a drag race and no one takes it anywhere close to that level! Thanks for putting that up.

Was just kidding about the drifting

I get that but al of the ones I've seen require you to stay straight. It seemed like they were PO'd at the guy before he even started???

description of the video said that he was already disqualified from the event during his "qualifying burnout" because he disobeyed a firemarshall's instruction. and then he forced his way out onto the track where the officials tried to stop him, but he went anyway.

the burnout was impressive, but yea, every one I've seen requires you to stay straight. last thing they want is a car shooting back up the track into the people working at the start line, or into the tower, etc.

the guy acted like a total fool in my opinion. it would have been one thing if he went out, did his show, waived to the crowd, and then "man'd up" and calmly went with track officials, instead of jumping and fighting like an immature 13 year old.

I guess I don't understand how he even got back to the staging lanes. Around here you'd be escorted off the property. Did the car not have an on-off swtich on the back? Guessing that's the last time he did a burn out at that track.

Sounds like the announcer was saying how this isn't done in America, kind of hard to tell but the blower didn't look like it had straps on it, wonder what the mood would have been if the blower landed in someones lap sitting 25' away

no way do you maintain a straight burnout down under. you get points for popping both tyres & points for artistic flair & points for crowd reaction. this guy would have scored real well in crowd reaction

I don't see it as impressive at all, what a dick head.
Where are the stop sticks when you need them. Any yingyanger can do that, haven't you ever driven on ice?

Like what was said, that car didn't have any of the proper safety equipment on it to be driving it like that. That clown is lucky nothing got tossed into the crowd.

And you see why we don't have these in the states. All you can do is a standing still burnout. BORING!!! And then people will complain that nhra makes to many rules, and say the burn out car doesn't have enought safty equipment on it, go figure. If you think you we be hurt run away, why do we need tons more rules.
