Sounds fine for a restoration, but do you really want to add that much thickness in a performance application? Doesn't sound like you're that convinced that it's the way to go. When I said "Good coatings" I intended it to mean a high performance app. Maybe should have made that more clear.

You're probably right...!! I'm the first one to admit I dont know enough about building motors... or race motors to state any facts.. I was just passing along information I found elsewhere..
