Does anyone know of a factory FM3 Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth C body? Do they exist? I have never seen one.

I've never heard or seen of one and shudder at the thought.

If it did exist, its rarity and value would be on par with the black V-code we all know and love.

Actually they are closely related to any V code C body... They are all Parts Cars!!! As evidenced by the past fate of those crusty piles of rust Dan continues to peddle to some sucker...

Yes, they exist. On a Chrysler , the correct name for FM3 is "Penta Magenta"

WOW, Dan, what's up with that?

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

As far as I can tell Chrysler never used the Penta Magenta name for anything other than touch up paint and paint supplies in later years. Look at this 1971 chart, more than just FM3 have odd names. Most names with the chips are generic.

Here is the back side. Note where Penta Magenta is listed. There is also a 1974 touch up paint chart on my site with the same names. I'm pretty sure they changed the names to be more generic or to avoid licensing fees. Any C-body in FM3 would be a special order car.

Rusty, torn apart and beat up maybe. They are still very cool and rare cars and should be saved, with that being said.....45k? No thank you.

"Any C-body in FM3 would be a special order car." So A, B, and E bodies only, except for special order. Explains why you don't see any C bodies or D bodies (truck). Thanks for all the responses!

The most unusual C body color I've seen on a was on a '71 Sport Fury GT. Mood Indigo, GC8, looks like Plum Crazy with some B5 added to it. It's a nice color for a large car. I shudder thinking of a FM3 C-barge.
