Awesome car. It's far better than any restored example IMO. I agree; I'd be changing the seats and wheels....man those cragars just scream 1980's don't they?

....I probably couldn't live with the modified hood either but if it was modified once to make it taller, it could be modified again to make it shorter.....

Your dad must be on cloud nine! good for him.

Awesome score! It will make letting that ragtop bee go a whole lot easier. It looks like Dads car will be a keeper for life! I can`t wait to see it!

Seriously ripping piece... I would leave it as is (maybe except for the seats).

Being a huge fan of original Mopar's I am speechless! To think this type of vehicle survived this long without being hacked up,abused & left for dead is just mind bogling!! Ryan I know your Dad has to be on cloud 9...Can't wait to see it up close and personal in PA!! A huge congrats! D

He bought it sight unseen and you know how those deals can go sometimes. He can finally get some sleep tonight and he could not be more excited. Trust me, we just had to ride with him for 5 hours to get Ryan's car and I swear he feels 16 again. Glad for them both today. I just got done telling them that we will be looking back on this day many years down the road.

I know a huge pet peeve of mine.
Brings me to the next question. I have seen so many bees wearing the wrong tail panel. Does anyone remember or have one that left with the coronet paint scheme. Just seems odd that so many bees have the coronet panels. Guess it makes sense they probably survived better then the bee panels.

Question- was this car Zibarted/Rusty Jones'ed when new? If not- what is the body plug in the door jam for? Just curious.

As I said before- serious score. Very happy for your father.

It was and I believe they have all of the receipts for it in the pile of paperwork. There is even paperwork on the Line Lock that was installed. The owner kept everything for this car, the paperwork is just insane. Ryan is spending all day tomorrow making copies of the paperwork and then our dad will be tucking away the originals for safe keeping. I am sure he will be posting a bunch of pics on here tomorrow.
I will add the story as well as posting a bunch of data for reference over on the A12 site as well.

As original as the car seems, it makes sense that panel may have come on it. I'd leave it if never shows to have come off something else ie. a different car completely. I've seen some one owner cars out this way wearing lower trim items straight from factory. Even seen a 1 owner original everything 71 v code gtx with plain 440 sticker on hood versus 440-6. Not changed by owner either. Leave it in my opinion

I just want to thank both of my sons,(Reid and Ryan) for making my dream come true .How many guys do you know that were handed the keys to a one year old 1969 1/2 when they were 16 yrs old. I sold the car when my first baby came along.(have you heard that story before) And then 40 years later these babies that were responsible for me selling my 69 1/2 found me a very low mileage f6 1969 1/2 bee that is rock solid and the same f6 bright green as my first bee.
The car was delivered from illinois to maine yesterday morning around 6:OCLOCK and by 11:oclock it was registered and i was driving it everywhere.I felt like i was 16 all over again.Cant explain the feeling. Thanks Guys ,love you. Oh and to complete the day we went with my youngest son Ryan to pick up his one of 33 1971 340 cuda 4 speed cars that he just purchased.you just dont have a lot of days like that.now that is what mopar memories are made of.10 inches of snow today.Go figure
