altho this section was primarily directed towards drag racing I personally feel that the Unlawfuls Race Only section should be open to all form's of racing, everything from drag racing to pulling truck's and everything in between,we can all learn from other's experiences regardless of the type of racing done.jmo

Well you have Diablo with his pulling truck, emarine with his mud truck and boatracer572 with his boat just to name a few. I know there's a few circle track guys on here too. I think it's just that drag racing as was stated earlier is/was 99% of Chryslers performance focus.

Why then does it seem that any NASCAR, ARCA, Dirt Track, or any other racing but Drag racing is almost prohibited to post on the"Race Only" forum. There are a lot of dirt trackers and mud runners out there, there are a lot of NASCAR fans and non fans out there. Racing is racing whether it be drag, dirt, asphalt, mud etc. Nothing against drag racing did it for many years but unless you are a participant a family member it is much like watching paint dry. Or even if you are a participant it is a hurry up and wait game.
drag racing is like watching paint dry why i oughtta!!!!

Splitting hairs now? It doesnt matter what kind of racing, make the question about the engine, trans or any particular about it and it wont get moved. This is a Tech forum for race cars. They move stuff not directly related.

a few questions for you 1. have ever seen a legit tech question that wasn't answered? 2. when you are a track talking to fellow racers do you go to a different area to wish them a happy birthday or talk about anything other than racing? 3. do you understand you have lost a lot of good people by this hard nosed attitude? 4. how easy is it just to skip over threads you don't care for or know it's not tech?

the simple answer to your question is because Gary was a drag racer...
I do agree all forms of racing could/should be discussed or have their own separate forum.
Both statements... I agree.
I am a drag racer. But I would race crabs (they run sideways) rather than watch politicians...

If you want good dirt track tech go to Moparchat. They have a "circle track" section, and you'll know a few of them Don. BTW.....did you see the Duel in the Desert race in Vegas last weekend? 234 Mods. They had a live camera feed on-line with numerous angles. It was great!!! I think I'll attend next year.
Am a member there and in style. Both board have their good but both are very slow moving in comparison with this one. Jay I guess that we will never get matched up again. Sold teh car and it is in the Marion area.

Well it was stated above that there are mopar drag racers than circle track this is true. As I stated above - anybody can drive a straight line with about anything you own and be competitive. It does cost more and take a lot more talent to own and drive a dirt tracker and be competitive.
These statements alone are enough to show how little you know or think of drag racers. Using your logic, how much skill would it take to go around 30 or so laps bumping into walls/other cars, and get lucky enough to get to the front? I helped out on several circle track dirt cars, none of which were high dollar or had talented drivers, but were still very competitive.
Cost more to circle track race????? On ANY given weekend I see drag race setups worth MUCH more than most circle track racers would think of spending on their cars, just to try and be competitive.
More talent to circle track race???? WOW - sounds like some of the demo derby runner-up drivers I have talked to. Drag racers get just one chance to get EVERYTHING right, not 30+ second chances. All forms of racing take special talents.
I generally love this forum for ALL of the racing type inputs, but yours is uninformed and of little or NO contribution to any race forum.
Personally, with that attitude, if you found another forum to express your views, I would be thankful.
