The weather was pretty good, but I have run in better air (mineshaft air). This was real close to zero density altitude, maybe minus 50 ft.
9.104 at 145.3 mph, 59ºF, 29%RH, 30.08"Hg
Earlier this year it went 9.175 at 144; 57ºF, 29%RH, 30.02"Hg Previous best with this car on E85 was 9.158 at 143.2; 51ºF, 31%RH, 30.28"Hg Best ever running race alky was 9.121 at 145.3 mph; 52ºF, 21%RH, 30.42"Hg All these were with the Ron's Flying Toilet injection system.
And... today was through the mufflers! (4" straight thru bullets) LOL

I got the setup right for the conditions around Noon on Sat. I richened the fuel slightly, and made some minor chassis adjustments for controlling the expected power with the right weight transfer and wheelie bar setting. 3200 lbs 511 CID low deck (400 block), 4.250" stroke Indy 440-1 heads, Indy 400-3 (4500) intake Ron's Flying Toilet (4.1") mechanical injection system. www.killerrons.comAs far as the bullet mufflers go, I did a back to back test last year. The headers are 2-1/8" x 32" long primaries with 4" collectors. The first pass was with the open headers. The second with the 4" dia collector extensions (~18"). The third was with these 4" dia bullet mufflers. The first two were the same, and the muffler run was only 0.02 seconds slower than the others. See the timeslips attached.

Jim, your back to back test might show more accurate gains/losses if it were more consistant. Congratulations on the new best. It's a very well put together combination that you prove over and over.

Don
A paracute is not required until 150 mph. And MIR has such a long shut down, even door cars going 160 don't use the chute they have, and dragsters are going 175 without pulling the chute.
Wayne, nice sixty foot (1.16); that is leaving the gate hard!
