I ran 29x9's with that exact setup and know for sure you can get a 30 in there as well.

You will have to use a b body housing then fit it to the moved in spring perches. Offset the wheels and you can use a 10.5x29,5 slick.

My set up is the same. 72 cuda, B body Dana housing, 10" wheels, 11.5 x 29.5 Mickey Thompsons, SS springs moved in. To get much more tire than that, you will need to open the wheel well up.

Guys some left out the amount of back space on the rims they are using. with a b-body rear I assume 5" and E body rear 6"

I wondered about using 8" or 10" wheels but I had to have the early style Keystone Klassics (which are very hard to get) & a set of NOS 15" x 10" came up so I grabbed them.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of using either of these size rims with the tire sizes mentioned?

Honestly, I think the 8" wheels are a little narrow for the 295/65's. The sidewalls bulge quite a bit. I don't have a great picture of the sidewall bulge at my fingertips, but this one shows it a little bit.

I got 295/65r15 on a 15x10 wheel with 6 & 1/4 inch back space with the standard width diff. Springs relocated 3 inch's in and no mods to the well. Outer gaurds have been rolled. Sorry no photos at the moment but the gaurd sits down over the tyre and with the kids in the back it rubs slightly on big bumps.

Can you tell me a bit more about the 3" spring relocation & some pics would be great when you get a chance, Cheers

Can't remember the brand but basically it puts the springs on the inside of the rail the kit came with new mounts for the front and rear. Im out of town for the next week so when i can i'll take some photos and get them to you.

Thanks, I'm not in too much of a rush as my springs seem to be lost somewhere between the US & New Zealand, hopefully they will turn up soon!

It's hard/expensive enough building a car here in the US, I can only imagine the frustration of building one in New Zealand.... Good luck getting your parts..

295-65 M/T ET Street radial (basically a 30x10), 15x8.5" rim w/ 5" of backspacing. Stock E body width rearend, offset rear shackles. Stock ride height leaf springs. Had to roll the lip of the wheelwell up, but they still rub slightly on big bumps.

How much are the rear shackles offset??
I have a set that are about 5/8" offset, not sure if that will do enough for me.

Thanks,
Gary
