Wow, mine's not that bad. The top of the mast is only off to the side an inch or two.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

I can't accept an incorrect part, if it has my antenna at an angle. So whats up with this base? Did I do something wrong?
That is obviously not right. I cannot help you as mine has the factory top bezel but the rest of the antenna is a disguised two way radio antenna. They were used in the era by undercover cops from BNDD, FBI and other groups with initials for surveillance. I am using it for amateur radio. It has been on the car since 1979. Craig

its not the bezel, its the position of the zinc bracket that the cable is attached to underneath. the only way to do this properly is to thread the antenna in and use it to turn the bracket under the panel and with your other hand gently try to push the part of the bezel that sticks out into the notch of the bracket underneath. its takes a few times before you get the right position. or take the cable assembly out altogether and test fit everything on the bench so you know where the notch on the bracket should be positioned so the bezel will sit correctly. good luck
No way The nut has to sit in the bezel so the bezel forces the angle...period

My bezel is a survivor. It is much flatter than yours. Craig

I wish I had a dime for every repop part that I've seen mis-packaged, broke,or defective...Point is don't take the packaging as a guide here...You already know it's not the correct part...I bet the seller never looked in the box to actually confirm the contents...Send Dale's the pic you've posted here and get the correct one...
