Yea ...the whats it worth sounds rough but he may have been smiling the whole time --who knows--3000 views about small potatoes if you ask me.

I have been off this site for about 6 mounths for this very reason. In the lastcouple years the Mopar hobby and racer suck big donkey balls.
If you needed the part and he had it then STHU.
My kids cry less then the guys on here.To come on a Mopar board and bash a guy over $5.00 is complete B.S.
This guy makes his living selling parts!!!!!!!!!!
SEE YOU CRY BABIES IN 6 MORE MOUNTHS!!!!!!!!!!

Last I checked you give a BILL when the sale is made.. NOT a "Tax deductible receipt"!.

The OP is pathetic.

I have given away numerous things over the years. I also have been told I don't charge enough to people when I sell parts or labor.
I am usually broke to show for it,and can't blame a guy when he charges for a part.
To expect someone to give a part just because someone is in need just comes off wrong to me. I am one of the last guys to ever borrow something and would fully plan on having to pay for something I need. I do believe fully in racers helping racers, but sometimes a business has to be run like a business.Keith

My thought's of how you and I treat other racers are basically the same. I was also told that I sell stuff too cheap and I should raise the labor rates, but I'm the type of guy that expect's to pay full retail for what I need when I need it.

A couple years ago at MMP a guy with a Gen III Hemi in his 74 Challenger had some issues with an 02 sensor. He didn't have a spare which of course I had a couple used ones. He asked me what I wanted for it and I told him $10. He flipped me a $20 cause he knew they cost $28 from the dealer but he was in dire straights to make his next pass.

Worse mistake I ever made cause he took me out in the very next round. lol

It cost $5.00 to get a broken Hemi Challenger back into the race? With my luck , I would have to ad another 2 or 3 zeros to the price tag to get my stuff back out there. Lucky for us , we kept it together and qualified #7 out of 57 in the N/SS division at MMW. Then it rained.

I also want to say that I have sent a couple people to Promax for items he sells over the last couple of years. And if I have a want or need for something from him I will surely use his services.
I would never let one persons $5 bad experience sway me one way or the other. To say he will lose customers over this seems rather odd to me.
There are vendors that frequent this site that I would never give another dime to,but Promax is not one of them.

I think the only way the "Ben Bashing" will stop is for Ben to do the following:
Post an apology for trying to make a living, paying your bills and putting food on the table for your family and maybe trying to put a couple of bucks away for your retirement years. You know there won't be any social security money left by the time you retire. Us baby-boomers are going to get all of it!

Next, you need to send everyone that has posted a negative comment a free part and of course you need to absorb the shipping costs and by the way, make sure all parts are shipped in new boxes, wouldn't want anyone to think you are so cheap that you would use a used box.

Once you do these 2 things I think the bashing will end.

Or we just need another vendor to stumble into the limelight. Nothing gets a puppy off a knotted rag like another knotted rag.

I had Ben do my carburator this summer. As I was getting ready to leave his shop he told me to grab a new gasket from his display. I told him I ran a spacer and will need 2.

I had already paid my bill and asked him how much for the second gasket. He told me not to worry about it and to let him know if I had any problems with the carb.

Ben is cool in opinion.

Oh yeah, the carb works great!!
