Put it in a vice, take the blade off a hack saw, put it through the sleeve, reattach blade to hacksaw... then cut the sleeve out.
Try that & you'll be cutting the control arm... There is a step between the back of the pocket that receives the bushing & the pocket that receives the torsion bar...
I stand corrected. In the past I've cut the lip with a dremel and then chisled down to collapse it.

FWIW, I had the little tool deal from AR to remove mine but regarding pressing the new bushings back in. I called around and found a tire shop that had a press. They were very careful and did not scratch the refinished LCAs at all. Charged me 15 or 20 bucks to do it.

I got them out in about 10 min using the tool I picked up from AR. Made it really easy. Now to blast and paint the LCAs. I already have access to a press to put the new bushings in so I think I am all set. Thanks everybody!

Takes only a few minutes to remove the OD bushing shells from the LCA semi-blind hole with the American Muscle tool and a piece of tail pipe.

Photo shows the tool halves digging in to the shell wall.

Optical illusion: the tool marks look really deep but are actually only a small fraction of the shell thickness. The near side exterior shell wall shows no evidence of the other set of tool marks, even though they are there on the inside. The shell comes out cleanly with zero marks on the LCA.
