Little update on my Dart. I was supposed to be done and running again in the spring, but our string of 100 + degree days was brutal this year and I didn't get it ready before they came. I am glad to say that the hottest days are behind us and we actually had the last two days under 100. Got alot of work done this weekend and I am glad to report the car is sitting back on the ground after three long months. I am down to a litle wiring, one brake line, install belts/seat and a few other small odds and ends. I also added a racepak and it was not easy finding places for all of the sensors. Going to the chassis shop this coming weekend to get it all scaled again and see what my efforts result in. Hoping to have dropped 100 lbs even after updating the cage to 25.5. Might even take it for a spin this coming weekend, but not gonna rush it now. I just want to have a few hits on it before coming to Indy so I can log a few runs and get tuned back up on the tree.

We just finished 68 days over 100 and only one day in there that kept them from being straight. Most were over 104 also.....not exactly outside working weather.

i saw that, i think the racetracks melted there anyway so take your time

are tracks had car counts in the single digits

I know car counts are down dramatically. Can't blame people for not wanting to race in it. I think our newest track, Dallas Raceway, just closed for good. I hope someone buys it and re-opens it with a good bracket program. It has a nice smooth racing surface.

Good luck,Brian! It sure isn't fun working or driving in the heat...This was my worse year ever. That is why I got out of it for a while!

I don't race very much in the months of July and August anyway so not much lost there, but wish I could have raced in the spring.

See Ted, get that car to Indy and you can show me how it's done since I must have forgotten how to race.
