What a weekend of......,Blew the hood off and shattered the windshield.
I towed back home and with the help of my friends and (luckily i throw nothing away)had a spare shield and a cowl hood that was on the car when i bought it.Got done at 2 am got up at 6 and heading back to the track. Qualified 22 with a 8.537. Sunday was game on ! Third round, I went to grab the shoot and there was no mount for the launcher (broke off [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]!).I borrowed a friends mount and got it together.
With the new hood ,shoot launcher and the car needing paint I think I'm even .So that's still a good weekend 
that kind of effort is what it takes to be a winner 
 It's almost impossible to run at that level without the help of a few good friends.Every race is a new adventure and memory.Adam,you had your hand full and luck was on your side.Great job

Congrats on the win Guppy....I think the first hood was a 6pac style and the 155+ mph took its toll on it. Hate to say it but the cowl hood scoop looks better on the Demon/Duster.

The hood had a 1/4 piece of round tube welded the rad support
It's been like that since I built the car in 05 . It just bent up and the
Air got under it and it was over . I need to weld a support down to the
Bottom . Similar to the way the factory hood latch hold down was .
This will prevent it from pulling up

I don't think the hood looks bad on the car .
But it's mopar powered and not a chevy. Whenever that hood is
On it people ask if it has a chevy engine . I like the 6 pack hood better
I like the stock apprering body
