so why were only the LCA's treated with cosmoline? why not other suspension/general parts on the cars?
Beats me.

Hay Scott, spray some Krylon Satin clear on those arms and they wont be sticky anymore. What lower bushings are you running??? Where did you get the Cosmoline from?

... The lower bushings are Hotchkiss regreasables (they don't look 100% correct but I'm gonna drive the car so I made a functional judgment call). ...
I have to think of this for my Daytona project... hmmmmmmm
Good idea......... Like you, I plan on putting a lot of fuel through those carbs you built for me........

Do you have pictures of the K frame assembled without the motor on it ?
I've got one for a slant-six K frame that came out of a '71 Demon...

For the record, VERY little actually got painted. I have yet to see a factory Duster (any year) with painted upper (or lower) control arms.
The K-member was painted black, the sway bar and forward sway bar clamps were painted black (sway bare links were bare steel) and I've seen survivor power steering cars with a black painted steering boxes AND the pitman arm (as if painted as an assembly). The disc brake dust shields were galvanized steel (no paint). All else was bare cast iron or steel. The lower control arms being dipped in cosmoline, everything else was left to rust.
Scott, Both of my UCA were painted....after light cleaning there are still traces....
