So for now I can run the wire from the alt to the battery with a #8 and this will be ok.The wire will be about 13 ft long.A number 10 wire won;t work?
410 pump gas solis flat tappet cam 10.95 so far

The 2 small studs are the coil in the relay to make it work, ground one of them. The drawing you have shows a relay that already has the relay coil grounded(1 small term)

I grounded the other nerminal and now the relay works fine,can't say the same for the alt. it's toast
