Bill, you mentioned contingency money. What kind of race was this.

We just had an NHRA National Open here over the weekend. The winners in Super Gas & Super Comp (not me ) didn't even get 400 bucks!

That $1100 is like winnin' a whole seasons worth of races out here.

SMP has their own weekly contingency payout that they've had for over 20 years. If you win with the right stuff you can get several hundred dollars more. Ther's usually 50-100 to be won just for running certain stickers without having to have anyone's product on your car. Bill probably can look at the yearly brochure and figure out how much he left on the table. I'm sure the $1100 (for a $30 entry fee with no buy backs) doesn't suck.

Oh, BTW, congrats, Bill! I know how tough it is to win at Norwalk. Pro is especially brutal, some of the best bottom bulbers in the country race there weekly.

No it doesn't suck one bit

This race was just one of the normal Sat points races. No big deal or divisional race or anything like that.

I thought about looking at the flyer to see how much I left on the table but decided I probably don't want to know.

I've never put any stickers cuz 1, I don't win and 2, I really like the clean look of the car without them.

I may have to rethink all that if this turns out to not be a fluke

However, at this rate, I probably have another 14 yrs to think about it

C'mon, Bill, you're on a roll! This put you in a 5 way tie for 27th place!
There are ways to keep the stickers subtle, most guys put them along the bottom of the car to "hide" them. It's not like a few sticker will make it look like Joe LeComte's car!

Put the stickers on the bottom of the car. Clean look with stickers.
