First off, thanks to everyone for your kind words and especially for all the support you have given me.
With out guys I sure as hell wouldn't even be racing right now.
Now, for the boring details. At least what I can remember as I don;t have my first 2 time slips W/ me
First off, I started Fri night by telling both girls they may not get a TnT pass as "I think it's dads turn tonight" and started by trying some chassis adjustments. Moved the upper 4 links down 1 hole and then up 2 (up 1 from base line) and neither seemed to be any better. Car went slower then it has in a while going a 10.242 and then a 10.224. I left the bars in the upper hole and then made a drastic jet change going from 172' to 180's and the car picked up to a 10.101. The next run I tried a 184 jet and it slowed a little to a 10.108 and MPH fell off a little.
Sat morning's TT round 1 I still had the 184's in and it went a 10.203 so I went back to the 180's for round 2 and it gained a little bit to a 10.177.
On to round 1....
I get paired up W/ a Belvedere and dial a 10.18 to his (iirc) a 11.46 I go .033 on the tree and caught him real quick. I start pedaling the car and next thing I know he's gaining on me. I lay back into the gas some and make sure I'm taking the stripe as I think to my self, "don't tell me you have a top end charging car" As it turns out, while he do go on his dial w/ a 6 he cut a .543 light.
Round 2...
I don't recall off the top of my head exactly what he did but I know he went red giving me a free pass. I was .020 on the tree and ran a 10.176 on a 10.18 dial.
Round 3....
And I get another red light win and it was a good thing too. I cut a .059 light and the car picked up a bunch. I had dialed little in the bag ( so I thought) at a 10.20 and it ran a 10.109 out the back.
Round 4....
Another red light and at another stroke of great luck as the car decided to take a HRAD right on the hit and I end up going the real long way from A to B I also really slept on the tree for a .107 RT But a wins a win and I'll take em however they come.
Round 5....
I dial a 10.11 on a hunch (and some looking at the weather) and get paired against a 9.46. He has a dial in error (that he caught and corrected) and then we stage.
I go .031 on the tree to his .055 and scream for the finish line. Almost there and he's coming quick so I stay in it and pray. He ran dead on with a 9 while I slowed to a 10.129. Hole shot win W/ a .0141 MOV
Round 6....
I didn't even realize until shortly before I had to run that this was the Semi Finals. I kept having to ask which round I was in all night
I dial a 10.13 and am paired W/ a 10.18 in the other lane. He goes .200 on the tree to my .051 and I put a fender on him and kept him there running a 10.267 to his 10.187 W/ a .0187 MOV
Final round.....
I leave the .13 on it and he's dialed 10.29. the tree comes down and I'm .039 to his .129 and next thing I know ,just pass the 60" mark, my car backfires so hard I say $#%@ and think it's all over. I stay in it hard sure that I'm behind by a ton and we cross the line. The friggin win light is on in my lane and all I could think was "how the hell did I win that"
So, I ran a 10.238 on a .13 dial to his 10.309 on a .29 dial
MOV .0018
All I kept thinking was I should not have won that race
Sorry for such a long winded post but it was a hell of night

$1100
Could have been more if I had the contingency stickers on the car but I can't bring myself to plaster stickers all over it.

Bill, they don't put *astericks* by your "W". How many races have you lost that you should have won, because the other guy got lucky? 7 win lights, no bye run and no buy backs. Thats gettin' it done buddy!

Thanks guys,
And yes, no Buy backs and no bye runs. Car counts at Norwalk being what they are means No time for buy backs in any class.
I hihgly doubt I was getting into anyones head to make them go red. I wasn't playing any games on the line and I'm certainly not one of the drivers that has a reputation that would intimidate someone.
And yes, I'll take any win no matter how they come
